Join a Team

There are lots of ways of getting involved in Wellspring's life and mission.

Our biggest mission is building a culture of discipleship with young people especially through Deep Waters - our young adults and students programme. Through the group, we form young people to be missionary-disciples, and provide opportunities for reaching out and making a difference in the local community. We will help you discover where your passions and gifts can best serve the Gospel. Every team builds community, rooted in relationship with Jesus, and provides training and support.  Come along to Deep Waters to find out more about how you can get involved. You can also be on mission with us through St Josephs Parish. You might also like to consider supporting us through giving

Here are some of the Teams and Projects:

OVERFLOW

Bringing the joy of the Gospel to children so they can live the fullness of life! Run by young adults and students, Overflow enables young people to share the faith with other young people, through regular activity days which include playing games, music and drama, crafts, and friendship.

LIGHT-BULB

A team offering practical, manual support for those who may be isolated and without adequate help within the local community. The members may provide help by changing light bulbs, helping clear a garden, cleaning or shopping, fixing & mending things, as well as offering more specialist skills where possible.

MOULSECOOMB OUTREACH

Working with other Christians living in the estates of Moulsecoomb, Bevendean and Coldean to find creative ways to share the message of Jesus in the local community, and to serve the needs of the estates in practical ways.

CHOIR

Be part of the Deep Waters choir, serving the liturgy at 11:30 Mass at St Josephs a couple of times each term.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Get involved in youth ministry to share the freedom and life of the Gospel with young people! Be part of the Teenage Retreat Team at Worth Abbey, The Friday Thing leadership - a monthly youth event at Cardinal Newman School, or join theASCENT Team: www.theascentuk.co.uk - a discipleship process for young people in years 10-12 at Worth Abbey and other locations around the UK.

NIGHT SHELTER

Our parish works together with churches across the city to provide food and accommodation for people who are sleeping rough, during the coldest months of the year. St Joseph’s offers shelter on Tuesday nights, January-March. Interested in volunteering? GREAT! There’s a role for everyone: cooking, serving, cleaning, shopping, welcoming, building friendship and community.
